ACP recently launched a new member-exclusive Physician Peer Coaching Program to support the career and professional development needs of internal medicine physicians. This includes an exciting new leadership development program, the ACP Physician Peer Coach Training Program. Please see below for more information:
$4,000 for the 12-month course
Become an ACP-trained Physician Peer Coach. It's a Win-Win!! You will learn evidence-based, validated coaching skills from leading expert, Kerri Palamara, MD, MACP, while supporting your own professional development and helping your peers at the same time. This 12-month program starts January 2025 and provides hands-on training and personalized feedback. Fully trained coaches are then eligible to be hired to coach for national ACP programs.
ACP Well-being Champion 2.0 Program Launching in 2025!
Our ACP Well-being Champion program is getting an update with a new and improved curriculum launching with live virtual training sessions in April 2025. Included are more skills for leadership, storytelling, and community building. If you would like to extend your service as a Well-being Champion and join this new cohort, please contact your chapter leadership. A big THANK YOU to all our WBCs past and present who took the time to fill out our survey this fall鈥 your thoughtful responses are much appreciated!
WBC Monthly Group Coaching
Current WBCs are eligible to attend a 1-hour monthly group coaching session, facilitated by ACP WBC Coach and North Carolina Governor Marion McCrary, MD, FACP. The next session is scheduled for November 18. Look out for e-mails with links to register, as well as upcoming dates for 2025. WBCs can access materials and recordings from group coaching sessions on My ACP.

ACP's National Abstract Competitions offer wonderful opportunities for students, residents, and early career physicians to learn and network. 鈥淭o be promoted in academic medicine, you need to have a national presence. 鈥 It's also a way to just get your work out and tell everybody about what you're doing,鈥 says Tracey L. Henry, MD, MPH, MS, FACP. Dr. Henry won the podium competition in the clinical research category for early career physicians in 2024. Submissions will be accepted until December 2, 2024.
