Sept. 7, 2021 –Profit motive in medicine may contribute to a bloated, complex, and fragmented health care system said the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) in a new policy paper published today in the Annals of Internal Medicine. The paper, , goes on to say that the principles of professionalism and medical ethics should ensure medicine retains a patients-over-profit orientation and protects the patient-physician relationship.
Washington, D.C. (September 2, 2021) – America’s leading physician groups are deeply concerned about the consequences of the Texas state law, which took effect yesterday, banning abortions, medical counseling and support related to abortion after six weeks of pregnancy.

PHILADELPHIA, August 17, 2021 – The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) supports the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the use of an additional mRNA COVID-19 vaccine dose among immunocompromised persons.
WASHINGTON, D.C. August 13, 2021 –The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) said today that, in agreement with recent recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) masks should be required in schools as part of a comprehensive public health strategy to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
