NQF 0244: 鈥淪troke and Stroke Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation Services Ordered鈥 ACP recognizes the value of post-stroke rehabilitation as a clinical practice. However, ACP does not support this measure. The underlying evidence to support it is of low quality and relates mainly to care in stroke units and not to individual rehabilitation services. It is also not clear that the ordering of services predicts their provision or quality. Finally, local conditions, such as the availability of rehabilitation services, are beyond the clinician鈥檚 control but can have an unintended and spurious impact on measured clinical performance.
