At its November Board of Regents meeting, the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ (ACP) adopted the following statement on the Gender Pay Gap within the Field of Medicine:
The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ believes that physicians regardless of gender should be paid equally and fairly for their work at all stages of their professional careers and in all settings.
Sufficient transparency is needed in physician compensation arrangements to ensure that physicians regardless of gender are paid equally and fairly for their work at all stages of their professional careers and in all settings.
Further study is needed on the reasons for and the impact of gender pay inequity.
