ACP MKSAP Question Pretest

One-time Contribution

Involvement type: Nature of Volunteer Work
Peer reviewer

Opportunity date(s):

-

Volunteers are needed to assist in ACP’s pretest effort by answering ACP MKSAP questions. Pretest results will help ACP MKSAP learners compare their performance with that of their peers. These data will also help our physician editors psychometrically validate our self-assessment questions to ensure they are well-constructed, fair, and accurate. For each set of questions answered, pretest volunteers will have one opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win one of five 1-year ACP MKSAP subscriptions. Volunteer test-takers will be signed up on a first-come, first-served basis, and only a limited number of volunteers will be accepted for each test.

Guidelines for Participation

To help ensure that the pretest results reflect general knowledge and not the expertise of subspecialists, pretest-takers will be limited to answering questions outside of their subspecialty area. Your recorded answers will be saved, and you may answer a subspecialty's questions over multiple sessions before the deadline. After you complete each test, you will receive a report recording your responses and showing which you have answered correctly. The pretest will not include access to related ACP MKSAP content, the correct answers, or the critiques, and requests for access to these components following the pretest process will not be granted. The ACP MKSAP pretest is not a CME activity.
